Main purpose of the role

The role holder will be tasked with proactively researchingand hunting for new business opportunities. This challenging role demandsinitiative and creativity, developing bespoke carbon management solutions for abroad range of companies within all industry sectors, sizes and locations. Theindividual will be required to negotiate this offering to high-level economicdecision makers such as CEOs, CFOs, Directors of CSR, heads of marketing aswell as senior procurement and other senior key stakeholders. The individual should thrive in a hard working, delivery focused, dynamic and successful environment.

Key responsibilities

Focusing on new business development, your mainresponsibilities will be:

• Managing a team of 4 Business Development Managers
• Increasing sales revenue by booking business meetings and generating sales in line with the overall objectives of the Sales Department
• Actively anticipate, plan and manage sales processes for client acquisition
• Developing new business mainly within new accounts
• Negotiating with clients
• Proposal writing
• Liaise with other departments, for example, marketing, and procurement.
• Building own professional and technical skill, actively seeking opportunities to extend personal knowledge and experience, for example attendance at events, industry reading, and networking
• Carrying out administrative work related to role activities, e.g. pipeline forecasting and management, updating CRM system, sales planning, etc.
• Selling into key sectors such as professional services, property & construction, supply chain, recruitment, IT.

 Who we are looking for

 The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the majority of the following:

• A proventrack record of new business sales success.

• Priorexposure to selling complex and multi-faceted solutions over mature salescycles, and experience in dealing with high value contracts.

• A pro-active self-starter who can operate both individually and as part of ateam.

• High commercial acumen and a record of confidence dealing with C-Suite and •Excellent communications skills, both written and oral, and a proven ability to present high profile presentations

• An ability to work under pressure
